Ending Veteran Homelessness
Quote from LaFayelle, "I think it's important to add that we took the long way the less traveled path as advocates not agreeing not yes-men not looking for our own recognition not looking for what was easier or better for us as individuals to obtain better jobs or promotions but to speak from what was heard to give voice to the voiceless to interact with with the homeless veteran population to understand where the undeserved and underemployed were and what they thought and to make sure that those points from those individuals were spoken in the committees and task forces.
Many organizations such as the VA or people within the VA and other veterans organizations who hold high ranking jobs would get upset with him as an advocate because he would voice what needed to be said in one sentence he would say thank you for all you do for veterans in the next but couldn't we improve on this area for some reason those who have power in serving veterans take offense to that and he has had to deal with that fighting and red-lighting of support or projects simply because he is a little bit more difficult and doesn't lay down for them and allow them to run over veterans and their families."
