September 12, 2011 Re: Christopher Shannon LaFayelle Letter of Recommendation To whom it may concern, Christopher Shannon LaFayelle has been a blessing to our new community center. This community center is a collaboration of three (3) organizations (Ashunti Residential Management Systems – ARM, Inc., The Mildred Franks Foundation - TMFF, and All Custom Attire- ACA). We realized that as a collaboration of organizations, we could make more of an impact in this underserved community (North Lawndale). North Lawndale is greatly impacted by domestic and gang violence, substance abusers, and a high unemployment rate. Most of the families live below the national poverty level. That is why we are so dedicated in bringing a holistic social service program to this community. Because we are a small organization (grass root), we were and are still very limited with resources. Christopher was very instrumental on getting us donations of office furniture, computers, printers, dividers, tables, chairs, etc. He was also very encouraging while we were rehabbing the center. Although we were never going to give up, we did get low in spirit sometimes when it seemed like nothing was getting accomplished. Christopher would often come around to see how we were doing and give us words of encouragement. Because of his generosity, we were also able to assist other business associates with some of the office furniture. Enclosed are some before and after photos of our new community. As you can see, because of Christopher S. LaFayelle, we now have the state of the art facility. It helps to have a comfortable, warm, welcoming community center where community residents can come. Again, this would not have been possible without Christopher S. LaFayelle’s assistance. If additional information is needed, please feel free to contact us at the number/email above.
